Board Approves Concussion Management Policy

  

The board approved the concussion management policy, which directs the care and management of all students, who suffer a concussion during participation in an athletic activity. To learn more about about concussion management, visit our information center. An informational session for parents is expected to be held in August. Details to follow. 

Board Reviews Graduation Requirements  

 

The PR School Board is reviewing changes to graduation requirements with its first reading. A second reading is expected to be approved on July 16, 2012. Click here to review the document and changes.

Remarkable Accomplishments


Top 3 Nearly 370 Pine-Richland High School seniors became graduates on June 15, 2012. PRHS Class of 2012 Valedictorians Laura Herrle and Lucas Axiotakis and Salutatorian Catherine McAnney and Tertiary Ji-Ho Park gave speeches at the graduation ceremony. Details...

The PRHS Class of 2012 earned more than $8.5 million in scholarships.The district's own foundation, the Pine-Richland Opportunities Fund (PROF), awarded more than $23,000 to 10 deserving seniors. Details...

Green Line 

Tax Relief Resolution Approved: The PR School Board approved the Homestead-Farmstead Tax Relief Resolution, which provides some property tax relief to qualifying resident homeowners. Property owners with an approved homestead/farmstead application on file with Allegheny County as of March 1, 2012 will receive a tax reduction of $197.56 (assessed value reduction of $8,659.00) on their July 2012 school district real estate tax bill.  Click here for the resolution.
