Chalk the Walk a Success

On Wednesday, June 4, 2014, students and supporters came together to “chalk the walk.”

The students didn’t let a little rain stop them from decorating the sidewalk outside the high school with inspiration quotes, drawings, and art.  As people arrived, they were invited to pick up a piece of chalk and add their art to the collection.

Chalk the Walk was an event that was created to promote positivity, self-expression, and unity within Pine-Richland High School.  Peer to Peer Empowerment, headed by PRHS Counselor Jen Bowers, was the force behind the event.  Any donations raised went to the “Spread the Word to End the Word” campaign and there was a special section of the sidewalk dedicated to Best Buddies.

Chalk the Walk was a fun event for everyone, including food and live music by Pine-Richland students Kelsey Hillock and Ryan Mann.
